Good Morning Britain honours teen who inspired Kate Middleton in emotional tribute

Good Morning Britain honoured the memory of 17-year-old Liz Hatton on Thursday's programme, revealing the sad news that the teenager had died. The show remembered the moment the young photographer shared an embrace with the Princess of Wales back in October at Windsor Castle.

In a touching tribute, a voiceover from the show delivered moving words: "Liz Hatton was that rarest breed of bravery and optimism. She was diagnosed with incurable cancer in January at age 17. Given as little as six months to live, the talented photographer took on a bucket list of assignments she spoke to GMB about."

An earlier clip featured Liz herself speaking on the programme earlier in the year: "If one thing comes through out of it, then it would've been worth it then, and a lot more than one thing has come through."

The broadcast also shared a snapshot of Liz's incredible feats, revealing that she had accomplished photographing a film premiere, conducting a high-end fashion shoot, and attending an investiture ceremony, reports the Mirror.

Among these, a highlight for Liz was undoubtedly her unexpected meeting with the Prince and Princess of Wales, an occasion that culminated in her heartfelt embrace with Kate Middleton, who subsequently praised Liz as an inspiration.

Following their poignant encounter, Kate and William dedicated a personal post to Liz on social media, sharing: "A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. WandC."

Liz's mother, Vicky Roboyna, took to Twitter Wednesday evening to share the heartbreaking news of her daughter's passing. In a loving tribute, she posted: "Our incredible daughter Liz died in the early hours of this morning.
