GoldenEye 007 is set to be remastered for Xbox

GoldenEye 007 is deemed as one of the best video games of all time, with many players spending plenty of hours trying to save the day. Luckily for gaming fans, it looks to be coming out again!

Released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997, GoldenEye 007 is an all-time classic video game and is one of the most loved first person shooters ever released.

Now, the time has come for the pre-millennial classic to make a comeback, hitting the mainstream once again and hitting a whole new generation of gamers.

While looking back now, it doesn’t look special with all the ridiculous graphics and capabilities of modern day games, but GoldenEye was certainly ahead of its time.

It has been one of those games that always gets rumoured to be having a remake, but now, it looks like those rumours are about to come true.

If you look on the official Xbox website, you can see the achievements for the game already, so it seems many children from the 90s’ dreams will be coming true soon.

Most people are expecting to see the game’s release confirmed on June 12, so in just three days, as the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase gets underway.

It’ll be interesting to see how the remaster is done, will it be a complete facelift, bringing the game into the modern age, or will they keep some retro features and graphics to keep the original charm of the game?

Either way, the fondness people look back on this game with, whoever remakes it, will face a huge challenge to meet the expectations of the adoring GoldenEye 007 fans.
