Gogglebox stars confirm divorce 'with a very heavy heart'

A popular couple who starred on Gogglebox until last year are going their separate ways. Stephen Lustig-Webb has confirmed he will be divorcing husband Daniel.

The pair were regulars on the hit Channel 4 series before quitting as a couple in 2023. Stephen was part of the original Gogglebox line-up alongside ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed, before teaming up with his beloved mum Pat on the show.

Daniel later took her place on the sofa alongside Stephen, the Mirror reports. But in a heartbreaking statement yesterday (April 20), Stephen broke the news of their upcoming divorce.

He said: "It's with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce." But Stephen has guaranteed there are no hard feelings between him and Daniel.

"There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we've unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways", he added. Meanwhile, Daniel echoed to The Sun on Sunday: "We've made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I'm sure we will forever be friends."

The couple shared a £575,000 flat near the Brighton seafront, which they moved into in 2021, but also co-own a hair salon, making them business partners. Stephen and Daniel have shared occasional glimpses of their lavish home to their fans through the Gogglebox cameras and on social media. The flat notably included a long hallway featuring a gallery of animal portraits, all lit by wall-mounted lamps.

Stephen, 52, was one of the longest-standing cast members in Gogglebox, gaining recognition on the original 2013 with his ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed. Chris later left the program before
