Gogglebox fans 'divided' over new family as they make 'brutal' prediction

Gogglebox's latest addition, a family from Kent, has left fans divided with predictions that the newcomers might not stick around for long.

Michael, Sally and their 17-year-old twins Harry and Jake joined the popular Channel 4 programme earlier this month, voicing their opinions on the week's TV viewing during Friday's episode (October 18). Some seasoned Gogglebox enthusiasts took to social media to express their doubts about the family's longevity on the show, with comments predicting just a one-series stint.

A viewer remarked on Twitter: "I reckon we'll only see that posh family for one series." Another lamented: "First disappointment-the family from Kent are still on..."

Yet another viewer took a critical stance, tweeting: "Why on earth have you put a multimillionaire Eton schooled family on? I can assure you that is not your audience. They're busy at Daddy's polo club on Fridays", reports the Mirror.

Conversely, there was also a share of support for the Kent family, with a pleased fan admitting: "Haven't watched in ages but I like the new family."

Tagged as "posh" by viewers, the family grabbed attention in their Gogglebox debut, during which father Michael discussed agricultural licences with his sons, prompting a quip from Jake about collecting his girlfriend on a tractor.

After a fleeting appearance on the show, viewers flocked to Twitter to voice their thoughts. "Posh folk aren't really for #Gogglebox well apart from Gyles and Mary," one fan remarked.

Another added their two cents: "Why add yet another posh family?" But not everyone was critical, with some coming to the new family's defence.

One user expressed a different opinion: "Reading some posts, 'Don't like the new family, no newbies, etc.' Get stuffed and
