Go for Osimhen this January, Ferdinand tells Arsenal

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has urged Arsenal to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window to solve their goal scoring problems.

Arsenal’s struggles in front of goal continue, with the Gunners failing to score from open play in their last four matches. Kai Havertz, deployed as a makeshift striker, is their top scorer in the league with just five goals this season.

According to Football Transfers, Ferdinand believes a natural number nine like Osimhen could reignite Arsenal’s title challenge.

“Now, you ain’t having a number nine that’s coming on impacting games,” Ferdinand said. “But I don’t even think you’ve got to buy an Osimhen, although I would buy Osimhen. You’ve got to buy someone who can come in and impact games.”
