Gateway 2025 National Sports Festival to hold May 16-30

The 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF) will now take place from May 16 to 30, 2025, following a decision reached during the first Joint Technical Meeting (JTM) held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The festival was scheduled for January 2025 by the former Minister of Sports, John Enoh.

However, a communique, signed by Hon. Adebukola Olopade, Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC) and Chairman of the Main Organising Committee (MOC), alongside Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, Ogun State Commissioner for Sports Development, stated that the shift will allow sufficient time to address observations made during the inspection of venues.

“In order to give some time to effect the observations and recommendations from the Joint Technical Meeting, the dates for the 22nd National Sports Festival should be adjusted to May 16-30, 2025,” the communique read.
