Former Tottenham Hotspur star Glenn Hoddle has given his thoughts on Eddie Nketiah's future at Arsenal.

The Hale End academy graduate has started each of the last six games for the Gunners, netting four goals in the process. The 22-year-old is into the final two months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and has been recently linked with a move to West Ham United.

Still, understands that the north Londoners still remain optimistic that Nketiah will sign a new contract despite the former England Under-21 man rejecting several offers. Now, former Spurs hero Hoddle has claimed that he thinks Nketiah wants to leave at the end of the current campaign unless he is guaranteed game time next term.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, before yesterday's north London derby, he said: "I think he probably wants to leave Arsenal, but if he’s given a chance he’ll stay. They’ll be bending down on knees to get him to sign a contract."
