Glasgow snap up ex-Bulls lock Sintu Manjezi
Former Bulls and Cheetahs lock Sintu Manjezi is headed to United Rugby Championship (URC) outfit Glasgow Warriors at the end of June, Sport24 understands.
After winning the Currie Cup since joining from the Cheetahs in 2020, and starring in the January 2021 final against the Sharks at Loftus, the 27-year-old becomes the latest top export to European shores.
However, Manjezi suffered a long-term knee injury last year that curtailed his progress under Bulls director of rugby Jake White, who since put his faith in promising lock Ruan Nortje for the No 5 second-row position.
The South African also reported that Manjezi was headed to the Scottish outfit, who have compatriot Oli Kebble and Kyle Steyn, who play for Scotland.
Glasgow play Leinster in the URC quarter-finals on Saturday 4 June.
