Gladiators is coming back to BBC in 2023

Remember this iconic quote? Well, get ready to (hopefully) hear it again next year!

The hugely popular 90s television show Gladiators, which saw members of the public battle it out against the show’s cast of bodybuilders and gymnasts, known as Gladiators, is coming back to the BBC in 2023 with an 11-episode series.

The show, which featured household names such as Jet, Wolf, Lightning, Warrior and Cobra is returning on BBC and children of the 90s will be absolutely buzzing about the news.

The show is returning in the same format, which each week featured contenders competing in gruelling events against the gladiators.

Kate Phillips, director of Unscripted at the BBC, has released a statement on the planned return of the iconic game show, saying: “Gladiators is back and a whole new generation of viewers can now look forward to watching a Saturday night spectacle like no other. Will the contenders have the will and the skill to succeed against our mighty new Gladiators? You’ll have to tune in to find out!”
