"Girls, what are you doing?": Man's screams as he saw a home covered in blood
A hero neighbour has described the moment he saw 'blood all over the place' before stepping in to take a knife off a 'frenzied' attacker.
Paul Martin was working from home in Old Swan in Liverpool when he heard someone outside shouting for help. The 39-year-old went outside and found his neighbour Wesley Pemberton covered in blood.
After hearing that Mr Pemberton's girlfriend Kelsey Anne Gielinck was being attacked by her friend Lauren Walsh in their home, Mr Martin rushed inside to intervene. He said he shouted 'girls, what are you doing?' as he saw 'blood all over the place'.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service, Walsh had stolen Miss Gielinck's bank card and spent money on it on the morning of the attack.
