Giovanni Pernice says he's 'lucky' in gushing tribute to actress partner after finding love on dance floor

Giovanni Pernice has said he's 'lucky' as he shared a gushing message to his partner Bianca Guaccero on her birthday. The pair found love on the dance floor when they were partnered for Ballando con le Stelle.

Giovanni signed up for the Italian version of the popular dance show after a decision was made not to invite him back to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

The decision for him not to return as a pro dancer followed an investigation into his behaviour on the show, he was cleared of the most serious allegations. The BBC apologised to Sherlock star Amanda Abbington as they upheld some of her complaints against her former dance partner during the 2023 series.

Giovanni went on to be crowned the winner of the Italian version of the BBC One dance contest and America's Dancing with the Stars alongside Bianca following the show's final back in December.

Taking to social media after the win, Giovanni shared a clip of himself and Guaccero shortly after they were crowned the winners, alongside a caption that reads "la coppia vince" ('the couple wins' in English). Bianca replied: "Grazie a voi, non ci posso credere,” she wrote, which roughly translates to "thank you all so much, I can not believe it.

The pair confirmed their romance ahead of their win back in November, with Bianca at the time claiming she had 'difficulty believing in true love' until she met him. Bianca also declared that she had 'never felt as secure and loved' as she does with the dancer, who is almost 10 years her junior.
