Gillingham's US owners Brad and Shannon Galinson return to England ahead of home match with Tranmere Rovers

Gillingham’s owners are back in town and manager Neil Harris is delighted to see them return.

The Galinsons have spent the last month back in the US but will be in the crowd on Saturday as the Gills get back on home soil after two long away trips in the space of five days.

“To have their energy back in the building will be brilliant,” said Harris.

“The place will be buzzing. Everyone will know they will be there Saturday and the atmosphere will be electric again and they are a welcome sight, it is good to have them back.”

Brad Galinson and wife Shannon have kept in touch with Gills fans on social media, enjoying engaging with supporters.

Harris said: “They have followed it, we have had messages and they are great, it’s like we we all get when we are attached to a club, it is there football club now, the new custodians, they are into it and the kids are as well, it is brilliant.

“They are so passionate, so much energy and excitement and want us to do well, it’s brilliant to have them.”

Mr Galinson commented on Gills’ weekend draw at Harrogate, posting: “We’ve come a long way. Today there is a bit of disappointment in one point away. I like that. Expectations are higher.”

The Gills are now nine points clear of the League 2 relegation zone after another goalless draw on Tuesday night, at Stockport.

“We are so much healthier than we were but there is so much more to do,” said the manager.

“We are still a team that is fighting to stay in the division, let’s make no bones about that, it is another point gained against the toughest team in the league at the moment and we have gained a point away from home.

“We are still that team fighting. The fans would have been proud of their team (on Tuesday), again it is a good night,
