"Gift From Me To...": Arshad Nadeem's Message After Setting Olympic Javelin Record On Way To Gold

Arshad Nadeem - this is one name that being spoken about by everyone in the athletics world. At the Paris Olympics 2024, Nadeem threw a Games record of 92.97m to take home the gold in javelin throw. This is Pakistan's first ever individual gold medal at the Olympics. After the medal, Nadeem said  the medal was a gift to the country. "First of all, I thank Allah Almighty for this huge success, with the prayers of my parents, prayers of the entire nation and especially the tireless effort of my coach Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt and the support of Dr. Ali Sher Bajwa, I have achieved this massive milestone. Meanwhile, After taking the silver medal in the men's javelin throw at the Paris Olympics, finishing behind Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal, Neeraj Chopra praised the 27-year-old's performance and said it is the first time since 2016 that Arshad has won against him. Neeraj, who came into the final as the favourite with a brilliant effort of 89.34 metres in the qualifying round, hurled the spear to 89.45, his second-best ever effort and a clear improvement on the 87.58 that bagged him the gold medal in Tokyo, to finish behind Arshad, who won the gold medal with an Olympic record-shattering 92.97m attempt.
