Gibson-Park may miss Connacht clash after being cited for Marmion tackle
Jamison Gibson-Park will this evening go before an EPCR disciplinary committee after the Leinster scrum-half was cited for his tackle on his Connacht counterpart Kieran Marmion on Friday night.
Gibson-Park is alleged to have tackled Marmion in a dangerous manner in the 56th minute of the match in contravention of Law 9.13, which carries a potential ban of between two and 52 weeks.
Philippe Cavalieros (France), chair, Yannick Jauzion (France) and Mitchell Read (England) have been appointed as the independent disciplinary committee for the hearing which will take place by video conference this evening.
The Ireland scrum-half received a yellow card for the tackle during the second half of Leinster's 26-21 win in Galway in the first leg of their Heinken Champions Cup last-16 tie.
If the citing is upheld Leinster will be without their international scrum-half for Friday's second leg at Aviva Stadium.
