Giant brick animals are coming to Knowsley Safari this summer

An African lion and an emperor penguin will be among the giant brick animals on display at Knowsley Safari this summer.

The Endangered Species collection will feature 27 models making up the Bricklive trail along the attraction's Foot Safari.

Opening on Saturday, July 9, there’ll be no extra charge for visitors to enjoy the life-sized models, including a 7ft tall Bengal tiger sculpture that’s sure to tower over most guests.

Standing amongst the Foot Safari’s real giraffes, meerkats, Amur tigers and bush dogs, visitors will also be able to spot brick models such as an orangutan, a giant panda, an African lion, an emperor penguin and a Tasmanian devil.

Other large, eye-catching big brick cats include an African leopard made from 82,253 bricks and a panther built using 71,876 bricks.

The event follows on from the successful Bricklive Ocean, which came to the park last year, and the Ultimate Brick Safari which thrilled visitors back in 2019.

Along with land animals, the Endangered Species collection will also feature some sea creatures, with visitors able to look out for a blue fin tuna, a green sea turtle and a dolphin.

Rachel Scott, head of marketing at Knowsley Safari, said: “Bricklive displays have been massively popular with Knowsley Safari visitors in recent years. They give guests something extra from their visit and perfectly combine enjoyment and
