Get inspired at Manchester’s new immersive gardening experience

A brand new event by the RHS focused on urban gardening and houseplants is coming to Manchester, aiming to inspire those who have small spaces or no garden at all and who want to bring more nature into their homes.

The indoor RHS Urban Show will ensure you leave with sustainability hacks, gardening advice and ideas to transform whatever space you have and help you embrace the joy of all things green.

The show at Depot Mayfield runs from April 18 to 21.

Whether you love houseplants, your small space garden, want to know how to transform your rental space, or you just love trying new things – there’s so much to see and enjoy at the show.

RHS show manager Lex Falleyn says it’s an opportunity to focus on the growing movement of urban and city gardeners, and the increasing connection between horticulture, wellbeing and sustainable living.

“There are so many people who developed an interest in gardening during lockdown, who got into houseplants and now want to expand into their urban space,” she said.

“They might be relatively new to gardening and want to build their skills, specifically in a way they can apply to their lives, their homes and their environments.

“This show is for an audience we don’t specifically cater for with our current shows. People who live in an urban space and who are more interested in small spaces and rental garden ideas.”

Relax with friends at the Pub Garden - Grab a bite to eat, enjoy cold craft beers and acoustic music. RHS has also teamed up with local caterers to deliver an exciting selection of street food traders and funky bars including the Cosmic Vine Cafe.
