'Get a life' - Lads hit back at Facebook complaints after off-the-cuff street party

Two lads from Chester who began an impromptu street party in Wales told a person who complained about it on social media to 'get a life.' The pair started a party outside in Abersoch late on Saturday night (June 18) as revellers burst into a well-known football chant.

The festivities were filmed by Harry Mullock outside Cue Bar around 10pm, with lots of topless men waving their shirts and chanting "Will Grigg's on fire". It is a chant that was popular among Northern Ireland fans when the nation played in Euro 2016, reports CheshireLive.

Fans sang the words to the tune of 90s dance song Freed from Desire in homage to striker Will Grigg. Harry said: "We were all having a few drinks in the hub (of the village). My friend (George Williams) went and got the speaker out of his car and started playing music.

"So everyone started dancing, and singing. Then other people came out of the other pubs and restaurants and started dancing in the street as well."

He added: "The general mood was brilliant everyone was loving it, no locals were annoyed as they joined in as well. We’re from Chester, however my other friend has a house down here which we are currently staying at."

The footage was posted on the Abersoch Complainers Club Facebook page by Harry with a tongue-in-cheek caption which read: "Can’t believe my kid and I have just been woken up by some Chester lad! Never coming to Abersoch again, what has gone on! Disgraceful".

But not everyone seemed impressed, North Wales Live reports. One group member said: "Yobs!!! Spoiling Abersoch!! Go home!" The organiser George, said: "Think you’ll find, everyone bloody loved it. Get a life".
