Gerwyn Price fires Luke Littler pressure warning as the Iceman vows to upset the party in Bahrain

Gerwyn Price has warned Luke LIttler the pressure is all on him as he aims to destroy the kid’s party.

The Welshman believes he can dump the defending champion out at the last eight stage of the Bahrain Darts Masters. Price is adamant he has nothing to lose against the wonderkid World Champion who is on a roll after Ally Pally success. He said: “I think all the pressure’s on him. He’s a world champ, he’s the World No.2, he’s had a brilliant year, he’s got another free year which probably eases the pressure a little bit on him.

“But for me, there’s no pressure. He’s probably expected to win, but yeah, I’m here to upset the party. I’m going to go back to what I know best so I’ll be confident with the darts and everything that I’m using." Price referenced a change of equipment, but the switches have been binned for the Littler crunch. The Welshman wasn’t happy with his last 16 display in beating Lok Yin Lee and explained: “I tried something different. I used different flights and I used some longer points, different points.

“I stuck in with it until the end, but I gave my darts away. I’ll go back to normal. I tried something different, it didn’t work but I won. I just thought that I’ve always stuck with the same set-up from day one and I think, if you want to try and find that extra five, 10 per cent, then you have to try and change things up and I tried it.

“But it probably plays with my mind more than anything. I can practice pretty well with any dart, but when you’re on stage and you’re trying a little bit too hard, they don’t go.
