George Kambosos Jr vs Devin Haney simulated on Fight Night ahead of lightweight undisputed clash

George Kambosos Jr is getting ready to defend his belts against Devin Haney – but things didn’t exactly go according to plan in a pre-fight simulation.

Ahead of this weekend’s lightweight undisputed championship showdown between Kambosos and Haney, YouTube channel Boxing Fight Simulations have put the battle through EA Sports’ popular Fight Night Champion video game.

And although it might not be the most accurate representation of Saturday’s fight, the Australian was beaten by the American in a stunning seventh round TKO.

Both men came out swinging as soon as the bell rang – with the first couple of rounds fairly even.

Kambosos was very much the aggressor in the third round as he kept on trying to press the action on the front foot.

The fourth round saw Kambosos land a few heavy blows to probably nick it and he looked the more comfortable in there, as Haney at first struggled to deal with his height and reach advantage.

But the California native soon had the final say on the contest as he sent him crashing to the canvas in the seventh round with a vicious left hook to his opponent’s ribcage.

The Australian was left writhing in agony on the floor and could not beat the count as the referee waved it off.

Check out the video below…

Kambosos won the unified WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts last time out as he beat Teofimo Lopez on points, and faces a fellow champion in WBC title-holder Haney.

Speaking of the resilience and mental toughness he showed against Lopez, Kambosos told ESPN: “I always knew that I was a champion, that I was going to be world champion and I had that inside me, that whatever I had to do to I would win that fight.

“But it was good when I got put down in Round 10 as well. I showed what a warrior I am.
