Gemma Atkinson reveals hilarious true story about finding love with Gorka Marquez after 'keeping it real' over what she had for tea saying it's not always 'healthy'

She's due to give birth to her second child with Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez this summer. And after Gemma Atkinson was 'keeping it real' by letting fans in on what she had for her tea, she shared an insight into finding love with her man.

In a comical Instagram Stories video, Gemma reminisced about one of her first dates with her fiance, who she met when she competed in the 2017 series of the BBC dance show. Gemma, 38, and Gorka, 32, welcomed their daughter Mia in July 2019 and they got engaged on Valentine's Day 2021.

The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress said they were both left stunned by their choice of favourite film. She recalled: "On one of mine and Gorka's first dates, we were going through favourite foods and holiday destinations and saying it. We went 'favourite film' and at the same exact time I went 'Rambo: First Blood Part Two' and he went 'The Notebook.'

In a video captioned 'true story!' she remembered: "We both held each others gaze and went 'okay.'" Gemma says she later asked him if he meant to choose the romantic film starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.

"Were you just saying that to be nice?" she recalled asking him. And he replied: "I love the Notebook. It's a beautiful love story." But Gemma decided: "Give me a bow and arrow any day."

Gemma previously shared about 'keeping it real' for mums-to-be as she said it's not always about tucking into a healthy plate. The fitness fan posted a picture of her tea of a cheese butty and crisps.

"Today's tea," she said. "Wanted to keep it real for all you mums to be and remind you it's not always a healthy well-balanced plate." She explained: "I have tried, but
