GCSE results 2023 live: Results, reaction and grade boundaries from across Wales as pupils collect their grades
Pupils across Wales collect their GCSE results today. The percentage of pupils getting the top grades is expected to be lower than last year but higher than 2019 as exam bosses try to rein back on what some saw as inflated graded under teacher assessments.
It is the second year that traditional sat exams have been taken since all were cancelled in the pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Regulator Qualifications Wales said today’s overall results will be midway between 2019 and 2022 as they try to steady the system, but they may go up of down for some subjects.
