Gausman exits start early after come-back ball to foot
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman left Saturday's start against the Tampa Bay rays early after taking a come-back ball to his foot.
The 31-year-old Centennial, Colo., native went two innings, striking out three and allowing four hits prior to the injury. He did walk off the field under his own power.
Gausman has started 15 games for the Blue Jays this season, posting a record of 6-6 with a 2.93 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP.
Gausman was replaced by Casey Lawrence at the top of the third inning.
