Gary Neville verdict speaks volumes as Man United could complete five-year transfer wish

Manchester United will soon be in the midst of another transfer window with more work to be done to solve underlying issues which never cease to end.

What was clear after the summer transfer window, the first under the control of Ineos, was that United's problems are deep rooted. Any hope of a quick fix from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Co. has been blown out of the water following the club's worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.

That being said, rumours abound that United may look to continue snapping up talent from Bayern Munich. One of the names reportedly on their wishlist is former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

The Sun understands Sane's drop down the pecking order in Bavaria is a prerequisite to him being allowed to leave following the expiry of his contract at the end of the season. As such, United may look to sign the winger on the cheap in January to add another threat to their wing.

Antony is currently out of favour with Erik ten Hag and there are suggestions that he could be transferred either permanently or on loan to Newcastle in January. Should United choose to complete a deal for Sane, there would likely be support from Gary Neville for the deal.
