Gary Neville's Anthony Martial demand comes back to haunt Man Utd and Erik ten Hag

Gary Neville has already made his feelings clear over Anthony Martial as Manchester United prepare to try offload the player in the summer transfer window.

It has been a miserable year for the Frenchman, whose agent revealed that his client was looking to leave the Red Devils in January. A permanent move could not be found but Sevilla signed the forward on loan until the end of the season.

However, that move has not gone to plan despite the Spanish club making a huge fanfare over his arrival. Five months later and the 26-year-old scored just once in 12 appearances, while towards the end of the season Julen Lopetegui didn't even bother selecting him to be on the bench.

Martial now looks certain to return to Old Trafford where Erik ten Hag will look for a new club for the ex-Monaco star, but finding a suitor might be tough after his disastrous spell in La Liga. Nevertheless, it is a policy that has the support of Neville, who told his old club to do so back in December.
