Bruno Fernandes sends message to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag

Bruno Fernandes has sent Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag a message ahead of the new Premier League season.

Ten Hag will take charge of United for the first time on July 12 when his side face Liverpool in a pre-season friendly. His first competitive fixture will come just less than a month later when Ten Hag's men kickstart their campaign with the visit of Brighton to Old Trafford.

One of the priorities for Ten Hag this summer is to strengthen his midfield, with Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong being heavily linked with a reunion with his former Ajax boss. With that in mind, and with the new season fast approaching, Fernandes has been hard at work as he prepares for the 2022/23 campaign.

In footage shared by Fernandes' personal trainer, Fabio Cotovio, on Instagram, Fernandes was seen being put through his paces. The Portuguese midfielder appeared to be feeling the burn during the intense workout as he looks to get himself into shape before United return to training.

Fernandes enjoyed a better season than most of United's midfielders in 2021/22, scoring 10 goals and grabbing 14 assists in 46 appearances.
