Gary Neville delivers honest verdict on Antony's Manchester United debut vs Arsenal
Former right-back Gary Neville believes there is room for improvement in Antony's overall game despite him marking his Manchester United debut with a goal against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford.
Fresh from completing his move to the club from Ajax on transfer deadline day, the 22-year-old was thrown straight into the starting line-up by manager Erik ten Hag. He replaced Anthony Elanga on the right-wing, signalling the only change that the Dutchman decided to make following Thursday night's 1-0 win over Leicester City.
Ten Hag's decision proved its weight in gold ten minutes before half-time, as Antony connected with Marcus Rashford's pass to stroke home his first goal for the club. It was an excellent finish from the Brazilian, who was mobbed by his teammates after racing away in celebration.

Despite handing United the lead, he was taken off shortly before the hour mark and replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo, who had earlier stood up off the substitutes bench and applauded his goal. It was a solid debut showing from the Brazilian, even though it didn't feature anything too sparkling and fancy.
And that was the general opinion of Neville, who felt his goal was the most important aspect of his performance. However, he has warned him to ease off with his tricks and flamboyant style.
"He scored a really good goal, but it was there for him as it was set up for him," Neville told Sky Sports. "I thought he would've found that game tough.
"I wasn't surprised he was taken off after an hour. Look, the game was electric, quick and it was his first for Man United. The big thing to take out of the game was that he scored.
