Gary Lineker reacts to FIA report into Abu Dhabi GP controversy

Gary Lineker is not letting it go after the FIA confirmed ‘human error’ helped Max Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton in the controversial finish to last year’s Formula 1 season.

The governing body have released their report into the dramatic events that saw Verstappen snatch the title from Hamilton.

It’s been acknowledged that race director Michael Masi didn’t follow F1 regulations with his handling of the safety car.

Masi “called the safety car back into the pit lane without it having completely an additional lap as required by the Formula 1 Sporting Regulations (Article 48.12),” the report says.
