Gary Lineker delivers brutal four-word dig at Manchester United after Nottingham Forest loss

TV presenter Gary Lineker delivered a brutal four-word dig at Manchester United following their latest defeat vs plucky Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday night.

Goals from Nicolas Dominguez and Morgan Gibbs-White did the damage as United were put to the sword at the City Ground. Marcus Rashford netted what proved to be a consolation.

As always, Lineker hosted Match of the Day on Saturday night as he chatted about what went on in all top-flight games across the board. Dion Dublin and Martin Keown were in the studio and Lineker could not resist taking one damning potshot at United amid their ongoing struggles.

When asking the pundits a question, Lineker said: "Nine defeats this season, out of Europe, injuries and all that off the field as well. It's all a little bit of a struggle isn't it?"

Dublin replied with a few comments about what United need to do moving forward. In that verdict, he suggested their players should "smile more" when lacing up their boots.

"I think it's a struggle for the United fans to watch this because the players Man United have at the moment just aren't quite hitting the ground running. The manager's trying all sorts of formations, he's changing it most games and the players just need to do a little bit more for me.

"I think there's enough quality there, when they get it right United can really hurt sides, but I want to see them smiling a bit more and enjoying the game a little bit more. I can't see that at the moment with United."

"It's because they're losing!" quipped Lineker in reply.
