Gary Cully eyes world-title tilt after another knock-out win
Unbeaten Kildare lightweight Gary Cully secured the WBA Inter-Continental title with a second-round knockout of American Wilfredo Flores in Nottingham on Saturday night.
Cully, who moves to 16-0, dropped Flores midway through the the second round and quickly finished off his previously unbeaten opponent (now 10-1-1) after he had unsteadily got back to his feet.
It was a fifth successive stoppage for 'The Diva' and he is now eyeing a world title shot on the undercard of the Katie Taylor-Amando Serrano rematch, expected to be at Dublin's 3Arena on 20 May.
