Gareth Bale wins another title with Real Madrid - but was nowhere to be seen during celebrations
Gareth Bale has been criticised for missing Real Madrid’s La Liga title celebrations on Saturday.
The Welshman missed his side’s 4-0 victory over Espanyol at the Bernabeu – a result that earned Los Blancos their 35th Spanish league title.
A brace from Rodrygo Goes put the home side 2-0 up before half-time. Marco Asensio made it 3-0 in the second half before substitute Karim Benzema added gloss to the scoreline late on.
Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti subsequently becomes the first manager in history to win all of Europe’s top five leagues.
All of the players and staff celebrated in front of their home fans after the full-time whistle.
The reward for a fantastic season for Real Madrid!
