Gareth Bale has wasted precious little time when it comes to settling in at new side LAFC with two goals in his first four games - the second of which a certified wonder-goal.
The ex-Real Madrid superstar started his run from inside his own half, displaying a rapid turn of pace to latch onto a pass that forced him wider perhaps than he would have liked. However, Bale proved he is still very much capable of producing moments out of nothing.
Out on the right wing, Bale was outnumbered by Real Salt Lake defenders trying to force him into overturning possession. It was at this point the Welshman showed both defenders a clean pair of heels to jet past them and dart into the opposition penalty box.
Once he had found the time and space inside the area, Bale kept his composure to rifle a fierce left-footed effort above the half-hearted dive of goalkeeper Zac MacMath, who seemed resigned to conceding as the Welshman lined up his strike.
It has been a particularly stellar start to life in the 'City of Angels' for Bale, who looks on course to help LAFC to a first-placed finish in the Western Conference. They currently sit six points clear at the top after their recent 4-1 win, having played one game less than their nearest challengers Austin FC.
