Galway overcome Donegal in tight All-Ireland semi-final

It will be Galway vs Armagh in this year's All-Ireland Senior Football Final, after Galway beat Donegal in a tight semi-final at Croke Park.

Pádraic Joyce's men squeezed past Donegal 1-14 to 0-15 in their semi-final this evening.

Paul Conroy's first-half goal proved crucial for the Tribesmen.

They are now back in the decider for the first time since 2022.

Dylan McHugh scored two important points for the Connacht champions, and was named man of the match.

The intensity of the match was summed up in the fact the two sides were levl on 10 occasions.

Galway missed a golden opportunity to score a second goal late on, but Jim McGuinness' side could not take advantage as they scored just one point in the final quarter of the game.

In that period, Galway added three scores through Johnny Maher, Rob Finnerty and Liam Silke.
