Gabriel Martinelli has now fulfilled two Brazil dreams since joining Arsenal.
Back in April 2020 when the subject of a tug of war between The Seleção and the Italian national team with regards to his international allegiance, the 20-year-old hinted at representing the country of his birth.
And with Brazil competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics - which took place last summer - that factor appeared to have swayed things in their favour as Martinelli let it be known that he wanted to compete on that stage.
"Playing in the Olympics is the dream of any athlete, and I am included in that," he said. "I was very happy when I saw my name on the list and I hope to be prepared to do my best when the matches happen."
Of course, the Arsenal ace would fulfill his dream prior to the 2021/22 season getting underway and the icing on the cake was to help his nation with a Gold Medal.
Now he's fulfilled another dream.
On Friday it was announced that Martinelli has been called into the senior Brazil squad for the very first time for their World Cup qualification double-header against Chile and Bolivia at the end of the month.
