Gabriel Jesus, Palmer - Man City injury news and latest return dates ahead of Brentford game

Manchester City return to Premier League action on Wednesday night as they host Brentford at the Etihad Stadium.

Following the international break, City managed to progress in the FA Cup defeating Championship side Fulham 4-1.

The victory set up a Fifth Round tie away at Peterborough United.

Zack Steffen and Aymeric Laporte both featured against Fulham on Saturday following their injury concerns and Pep Guardiola's side managed to get through the match without any fresh injury concerns.

Here's how the current injury situation looks at the Etihad.

Jesus picked up a slight knock while on international duty with Brazil, and has been unable to join back in with City in training since returning.

Guardiola has confirmed the Brazilian would not be in contention to face Fulham last Saturday, having come off the bench for Brazil against Ecuador the week prior.

The injury is hoped to be nothing too serious though, meaning he may return to action against Brentford on Wednesday.

Expected return date: February 9

Palmer had been missing prior to the international break due to an injury issue, and he remains out of action for the time being.

The youngster picked up a problem following the FA Cup third round win over Swindon, and has not been back in training since.

Guardiola has said the club will “see what happens in the next weeks”, meaning the wait might go on for Palmer to return.

Expected return date: N/A
