Gabriel Jesus has already revealed his intentions at Arsenal for the 2022/23 season.

From a team perspective, the £45m summer signing from Manchester City will be hopeful of playing a role in ending the Gunners' long absence from the Champions League - whether that be via a top-four finish in the Premier League or winning the Europa League - as well as tasting success in the domestic cup competitions.

But Gabriel Jesus' individual target - like the best centre-forwards across the division and in Europe - is to fight for the Premier League Golden Boot award along with compatriot Richarlison who joined Arsenal's north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer.

"I hope that we can both end the season fighting for the Golden Boot because I like him," the Brazil international said, as per the Mirror after scoring three in his first two pre-season outings for the Gunners. "He's a very good guy, amazing player, so I wish him all the best but not against us!"

Of course, if Gabriel Jesus is to be up there amongst the leading scorers in the Premier League this season he will be facing challenges from the likes of Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Jamie Vardy, Cristiano Ronaldo and the 2021/22 joint-winner in Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to get his hands
