GAA team news: Galway unchanged for All-Ireland semi-final

Galway manager Henry Shefflin has named an unchanged team for Saturday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final with Limerick at Croke Park.

The Tribesmen will look to avenge last year’s defeat at the same stage to the Treaty men, and having seen off Tipperary last time out, Shefflin has kept faith with the same starting XV.

Captain Daithi Burke is restored to the number three jersey, with Gearoid McInerney vacating full-back to resume his role at six.

Limerick are bidding to reach a fourth successive All-Ireland final, something they last achieved in 1936, while the Tribesmen last reached the final in 2018, losing to Limerick.

Galway: E. Murphy; J. Grealish, D. Burke (c), D. Morrissey; P. Mannion, G. McInerney, J. Cooney; S. Linnane, C. Mannion; R. Glennon, C. Fahy, K Cooney; C. Whelan, B Concannon, E. Niland.

Watch the All-Ireland Hurling Championship semi-finals, Limerick v Galway (Saturday at 6pm) and Clare v Kilkenny (Sunday at 4pm) this weekend on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player, follow a live blog on RTÉ.ie/Sport or listen to live commentary on RTÉ Radio 1
