GAA Preview: Return of Allianz Football League
Six months after Dublin won another All-Ireland, the 2024 football season gets back underway this weekend.
A weekend where new management, rivalries, and exciting fixtures, there will be no shortage of talking points heading into this weekend's action.
In Division One, All-Ireland runners-up Kerry will host Derry, as Mickey Harte makes his return to Ulster football.
In their return to Division One, Dublin host Monaghan in Croke Park on Saturday night.
In a repeat of their opening fixture last season, Mayo travel to Salthill to face Galway, the fixture that also ended Galway's season.
In Division Two, Jim McGuinness makes his return as they host Cork on Sunday. Once again, Division Two will be vital, as a Division Four side will be in the Munster final, and will take an All-Ireland place from the Division.
Meath, who are in Division Two, will also be in the All-Ireland after winning the Tailteann Cup.
In Ladies football, Dublin will be aiming to come back from their opening weekend defeat to Kerry when they face rivals Meath.
Galway and Mayo also meet in Galway in ladies football, with Cork hosting Armagh.
