GAA: Dublin suffer first Leinster SFC defeat in 15 years as Meath progress

Dublin have lost a Leinster Football Championship game for the first time in 15 years.

Meath held on to dethrone the 14 in a row champions by 0-23 to 1-16 in their semi-final.

The Royals have set up a repeat of the 2010 final as they will play Louth in the decider.

The Wee County booked their spot in a third consecutive final with a three-point win over Kildare.

Man of the match James Conlon scored four points for Meath in the first half to set up the famous victory.

He added another point after the break, while Eoghan Frayne scored 14 points.

Speaking after the game, Conlon said: “That was a long time coming.”

Meanwhile, Donegal will take on Armagh in the Ulster Football Final.

Jim McGuinness' men eased into the decider thanks to a 1-19 to 0-16 semi-final win over Down today.
