GAA: Cork beat Waterford to reach first Munster final in seven years

Cork have qualified for the Munster Senior Hurling final for the first time in seven years.

Goals from Brian Hayes and Patrick Horgan helped the Rebels to overcome Waterford by 2-25 to 1-22 at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Next up is a trip to face holders Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds in the provincial final next month.

Limerick were 16-point winners when the sides met at the same venue last week, and Cork boss Pat Ryan said they'll need to be much better if they're to topple John Kiely's team.

Clare rounded off their campaign with a 3-20 to 0-24 win against Limerick this afternoon.

The All-Ireland champions join Waterford in exiting at the round-robin stage, while Tipperary advance to the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-finals.

Galway will face Kilkenny in the Leinster Senior Hurling final.

Cathal Mannion scored eight points from frees as Galway overcame Dublin by 0-29 to 3-15 at Parnell Park.

Dublin will now go into the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-finals.

Offaly retained their Liam McCarthy status with a 3-15 to 1-16 win against Antrim in Tullamore.

That loss has sent Davy Fitzgerald's Saffrons down to the Joe McDonagh for next year.

Rory O'Connor and Lee Chin raised green flags in Wexford's 2-19 to 1-15 victory against Kilkenny.
