GAA: Cork and Meath promoted to Division Two, Kildare relegated after defeat to Louth

Cork have been promoted to Division One after they defeated Tyrone 0-22 to 0-19 in Omagh.

They will be joined by Meath in the Division Two final, who overcame Offaly 2-22 to 0-18, with the sides to meet in Croke Park.

Chris Óg Jones, Steven Sherlock, and Colm O'Callaghan all came up with vital scores as Cork finally made it back to the top division.

Despite defeat, Tyrone avoided relegation, with Offaly and Kildare relegated.

Offaly were already down before this weekend, with Kildare joining them after losing 1-25 to 0-25 to Louth.

However, the Lilly Whites will still play in the All-Ireland after winning the Tailteann Cup last season.

In Division Four, Carlow and Longford are promoted after their wins on Sunday.

At the start of the day, seven out of eight teams in the division had a chance of going up, with Carlow and Wicklow in pole position.

Carlow did what they needed to do, with a 4-22 to 2-5 win over Leitrim.

However, Longford took Wicklow's place in the hunt for promotion, as they defeated them 2-21 to 2-20.
