'Further talks expected...' - John Percy drops exciting Wolves update ahead of the summer
Wolves are set for a pre-season tour of America for the first time in 50 years this summer, according to reliable journalist John Percy.
Bruno Lage’s side could be on the cusp of completing a memorable season, following a string of excellent performances in the Premier League.
A top-four finish isn’t completely out of the question yet, and while that will be difficult, there is every chance that Wolves could be playing at least Europa League football in 2022/23.
Away from the current on-field matters, an exciting update has now emerged regarding this summer.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, The Telegraph‘s Percy confirmed that Wolves are expected to tour the USA during pre-season – something that hasn’t happened in half a century:
“Wolves are set for their first pre-season tour of America in 50 years this summer. Further talks expected this week.”
These are exciting times for Wolves, with Lage impressing greatly since coming in as manager and the club being run smoothly both on and off the pitch.
The tour of America is a fantastic way of growing the club as a brand and bringing in new supporters, as the game continues to grow across the Atlantic.
It will provide Wolves with some intriguing opponents as they prepare for next season, not to mention giving the players a more exotic pre-season than they have experienced in recent years, hopefully ahead of European commitments in the months that follow.
In other news, a journalist has made a key claim regarding one Wolves player’s future. Find out who it is here.
