Furious West Brom fans turn on 'abysmal' players and make 'massive' demand
West Bromwich Albion fans have called on the club to instigate a "massive revamp" of the playing squad next season after losing for the fourth time in five games on Saturday.
The Baggies fell to a 2-0 defeat to promotion rivals Luton Town thanks to second-half goals from Cameron Jerome and Allan Campbell.
The result means West Brom slip down to 11th in the Championship table, four points outside the play-off places, while Steve Bruce is yet to see his side score in three games since succeeding Valerien Ismael as manager.
Supporters did not lay into the recently appointed boss following defeat at Kenilworth Road, though, and instead took aim at the players for recent performances while calling on the club to make changes in the summer.
Here is what some of them had to say on Twitter after the game:
People can blame Bruce all they want, but the main problem is that these players aren’t good enough and it’s being proved time and time again. We are average and that’s me being kind #wba
[Bruce is] not the one to blame. Players need to step up. Although tactics are not great, some of the players aren’t fit to wear the shirt
The players are absolutely abysmal. Maybe there was an argument that Ismael didn't get the best out of them but it's now crystal clear they're the issue. Aside from 3 or 4 at most I wouldn't be sad to see any of them leave this summer.
Hate dissing players but how can you defend performances like this, so glad I decided not to brave the rain and go in the end, same old rot week in week out, these players are dragging Albion to a place not seen since the 90’s, I really feel sorry for Bruce inheriting this lot
These players have let the fans down on many occasions now. Team was crying out for a
