Funeral and death notices of much loved people who died recently in Greater Manchester

Tributes have been left over this past week in memory of loved ones in Manchester who have recently passed away.

William (Bill) Fleming

Sadly deteriorated following a fall. Bill passed away peacefully on Saturday 19th March, aged 93 years. Sadly missed and loved by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday 7th April at Rochdale Crematorium at 10:30am. Donations is lieu of flowers would be most gratefully received for Age UK.

Walter George Smith

Late of Stockport (born Buxworth) passed away peacefully 18th March at Home aged 87 years. Loving and devoted husband of the late Lil and much-loved Dad to Annmarie, Wendy and Dawn, Grandad to Charlotte and Jennifer, Father-in-law to Andrew and Michael. Walt will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. By request family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Walt's memory to the benefit of British Heart Foundation. The funeral service will be held Wednesday 6th April 2022 at St. George's Church, Stockport at 12:00pm and will be followed by an interment at Mill Lane Cemetery.
