Full-time BSB ride for Sheldon-Shaw with NP Racing BMW
Joe Sheldon-Shaw will make his full-time debut in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this season with NP Racing BMW.
Having started 2021 competing in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, the 22-year-old from Sheffield made his BSB debut at Donington Park last season, deputising for the injured Josh Owens on Kawasaki machinery before joining iForce Lloyd & Jones BMW from Oulton Park.
Sheldon-Shaw will embark on his first full season in the top class for 2022 alongside Sam Cox at NP Racing BMW, with three races already under his belt on the BMW M 1000 RR.
“I’m very excited to be able to get a full season under my belt in the Superbike class with the NP Racing BMW team,” Sheldon-Shaw confirmed. “We will be trying our best and take it step by step to make progress throughout the season.
“I’m so grateful that Neil and all of my family, friends and sponsors have made this possible and I can’t thank each and every one of them enough.” “I’m excited to be working with Joe for the 2022 season.” Team Owner Neil Pearson added. “He will be running under the NP Racing banner and I think will prove to be a huge asset to the team. We are looking forward now to testing, so that we are ready for the opening round at Silverstone.”
