Major supermarket chain closing most branches on Boxing Day - full list of those open

One of the UK's biggest supermarket chains confirmed it will close most of its locations on Boxing Day this year as Brits get ready to prepare for the holidays.

While some retailers will be taking advantage of sales on December 27, Iceland will close all but 76 of its more than 900 stores across the festive period. Most of the stores being kept open are situated in the London area.

In general, most stores will be open from 9am to 9pm, although some have altered their times slightly to help accomodate to the shopping period. It is not yet clear if Iceland will open on New Year's Day this year.
