Liverpool are reportedly keen to bolster their midfielder following the club record-breaking signing of Darwin Nunez who has completed the forward line for the Merseysiders, but could there be a chance they make another new addition following the unexpected exit of Senegalese winger Mane?

One player who has been recently linked to Liverpool is Ajax winger Antony, who has been on the radar of the Reds’ most fierce rivals Manchester United this summer, but if reports are to be believed FSG could be about to hijack the Red Devils’ transfer plans.

Over 23 appearances the Brazilian right winger scored eight goals, delivered four assists and created seven big chances, making 1.7 key passes and one tackle per game, as well as winning the majority of his duels (51%) and successful in completing the majority of his dribbles too (56%).

The 22-year-old has been the recipient of high praise for his performances with the Eredivisie giants, and Dutch scout Piet de Visser dubbed Antony “wonderful” when asked about the player:
