From Rosberg to Perez: All the F1 drivers who ruled the streets of Azerbaijan's capital

Formula 1 visited the Eastern European country of Azerbaijan for the first time in 2016. Back then, the race wasn't named after the country it was hosted in, but it was known as the European Grand Prix. From 2017 onwards, F1 did away with the European GP nomenclature and gave Azerbaijan its own race.

It was subsequently called the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Since the race's 2016 inception, there has been no shortage of action and drama, and each race has seen a different driver on the top step of the podium. We list all the winners of the Azerbaijan GP.

The German won the first race around the streets of Baku, while Hamilton had to wait until 2018 when he'd have a shot at winning at the venue.

2017 belonged to Daniel Ricciardo when he still raced for Red Bull. It was the first year that the race would be known by its new name, and the ever-smiling Australian made history when he became the first winner under the new name.

Bottas' advantage looked under threat from Hamilton, but the Finn kept a cool head and retained his lead. With the win, Bottas and Hamilton handed Mercedes-AMG their fourth successive 1-2
