Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are on a collision course for a blockbuster quarter-final at the French Open. And the winner could meet new teenage star Carlos Alcaraz after the draw was made at Roland Garros on Thursday evening.

The three favourites are on the same side of the draw along with British No.1 Cameron Norrie. Defending champion Djokovic will open his latest campaign against Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka. But tennis fans will want to see a 59th meeting between the Serb and Nadal in the quarter-finals.

Djokovic won their last match in the semi-finals here last year after losing the first set. The Serb, who won in Rome last weekend, is seeking to equal Nadal's record of 21 Grand Slam titles.

Madrid Open winner Alcaraz is in the bottom half of the same side and could play the winner of that clash in the last four if he can see off
