French GP Weekend Schedule: When does the race start?
Formula 1 returns this weekend as the French Grand Prix plays host to round 12 of the world championship, and the start of the second half of the campaign.
The first half of the season has been hugely intriguing, with Red Bull and Ferrari vying for supremacy and, currently, it’s Max Verstappen out in front.
That can all change in the second half of the year, though, and it all begins at Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend, in the south of France.
When are the all-important session times, then? We take a look…
Friday
On Friday, we have two practice sessions with us returning to a normal schedule after Sprint’s latest airing at the Austrian Grand Prix last time out.
FP1 will take place at 1pm UK time in the afternoon, before qualifying gets going at 4pm UK time, with France an hour ahead of us.
Saturday
Saturday sees another practice session followed by qualifying.
FP3 begins at 12pm UK time whilst quali is at 3pm UK time in the afternoon, which will set the grid for the race on Sunday.
Sunday
The Grand Prix gets underway at 2pm UK time, with 53 laps of the circuit scheduled.
