Free chills and fun thrills at Trafford Centre's new outdoor entertainment

Summer 2022 is the season of sport and sun, with world-class events and record-breaking temperatures filling our days.

Manchester's very own Trafford Centre is proud to announce its most significant outdoor event to date, ready for all to enjoy this summer.

Summer Daze will offer a delightful line-up of family-friendly activities, day through night across the 2.5 acres of land. Located outside the Great Hall at Trafford Centre until September 4, it's the go-to spot for some great entertainment - and better yet, part of the event is completely free.

A huge fan-zone has been set up to watch this summer's big sporting events on a 15sq m giant screen. Plus, with two extra big screens recently added, even more live sports and classic films will be shown. Keep reading to find out the schedule for the next month.

The iconic 8000sq ft beach is back for little-ones and grownups to bask in the sun with sand between their toes, or visitors can enjoy some al-fresco dining from the delicious vendors in the food hub.

The Trafford Centre's thrilling funfair has also returned in all of its glory with an exciting upgrade of rides, complete with a 600sq m beach and a brand new 200sq m splash park with multiple water jets for guaranteed family-friendly fun. The fairground will also feature an exciting new ride called 'Sea Storm', where the public can ride the wave in individual cruisers. Former favourites are also back, including the log flume, bungee trampolines, wave swinger, water balls, pirate ship and bumper boats.

Entry to the outdoor food and entertainment hub is completely free, with tickets to the fairground able to be booked in advance here. Anyone with a fairground wristband will also have viewing access to one of the three
